You've shown me what it actually looks like to work hard, be a good person, and show up. That means more to me than you probably realize.
I could write something dramatic here, but it wouldn't sound like me. The truth is pretty simple, you're one of the best people I know. Not just because you're my dad, but because of the kind of person you've always been.
You work hard, you do what you say you're going to do, and I've always respected that.

How not to complain
You never waste energy or time complaining about things. If something has to get done, you just do it and move on.
Patience
You've always had more patience than anybody I've ever known. Whether it was with me or with life in general, you never seem rushed.
Perspective
You always seem to know what is actually worth worrying about and what wasn't.
I'm not going to list everything because we'd be here all day. but I've noticed more than I've ever said out loud.
The long days, the stuff you take care of without mentioning it, and the things you put aside because they weren't the priority. I don't take any of it for granted.
More time doing what you love
You've spent so much time taking care of everything else. This year, more of it for you.
Stay healthy
I want you around for a long time. That's really all I've got to say about that.
Enjoy it all
I hope life slows down a bit and gives you more time to enjoy it. You've definitely earned it.
The way you carry yourself, the way you treat people, the decisions you make. I pay attention to all of it.

I'm not great at saying this stuff out loud. But I made you this because you deserve to hear it properly at least once. I love you, I look up to you, and having you as my dad is genuinely one of the best things about my life.
